Welcome to the LIWDG Discussion Lists

LIWDG hosts free lists for the benefit of the Long Island Web Development Community. Presently we host the following lists:

General Web Development List

This list is where we discuss Web development (design, programming, marketing, etc.), the Web industry, and issues affecting the Web. This is a place to share questions, tips, techniques, and job information related to the Web. The mailing list is also the way to communicate with members of the LI Web development community between the general LIWDG meetings. Subscription to the mailing list is not limited to LIWDG members. We strongly urge you to read the Guidelines for Acceptable Posts before you send your first message to the list. This list is loosely moderated. There are consequences for violating the guidelines, ranging from polite warnings to suspension of posting privileges. Essentially, all we ask is your understanding that the LIWDG list is a community discussion forum and that your posts to the list should advance the interests of the community.

The Pub

The Pub is a completely open, unmoderated list which has no specific topic. Think of it like a neighborhood pub, where you can belly up to the bar and shoot the breeze with your friends. The Pub is open to all and non-alchoholic ale is available.
